Gee, lots of discus breeding going on at your house Keith! Beauties for sure, especially those cute little fry!
Barb
A pair of Red Cover Virgin Red crosses from Kenny made their way to the FishCave via Exreefer and Alexis before that. Now that they're settled into long term housing it appears they're putting down roots. Dad's into domestic violence, so here he is on one side of the egg crate.
Here's mom on the opposite side.
A head on shot of mom just to see the color contrast of the nose better.
And then my pride and joys, my own cross of two different RT strains with F2 fry. First, a couple shots of dad. The fry ate a thin strip on his tail so he got pulled.
A fry shot with mom eating. These guys went free swimming June 4 or 5.
Then mom, not to happy I'm photographing.
Mom right side.
Mom left side.
And a huge thanks to Jay (Jason K.) for selling me back this pair of RTs

Thanks Barb. Once each pair finishes practicing with their current small batch we'll see how they do with your extra lipped swirled cones from NADA. Talk about living vicariously, through cones that went to the show no less.

Really happy for you Keith and two killer pairs. The RT fry look nicely developed and I still love your RT pair.
Your discus are talking to you....are you listening
Thanks Pat, lord knows you know it's been a long long road. Fingers crossed they breeze right past week 4.

Aw, Keith, the Red Cover Virgin Reds are stunning !
And I love the F2 fry - man, you're very quietly doing some wonderful things in your man cave !
I am really digging your F2 fry. They are great looking fish. The red covers are nice as well.

Looking good Keith! Those RT's are pretty nice
Congrats on the beautiful fry. Both strains are a couple of my favorites. The red covers look somewhat like the Piwow browns.
Sometimes you sit and think, sometimes you just sit.

Thanks Brandon, and Bill. It's definitely increased the enjoyment factor having batches of fry again.

I pulled the female RT tonight. The fry are just past 4 weeks old and were rarely feeding from her anymore and her mate hasn't hardly touched any food since he went solo so I decided it was time.
