3 weeks without eating, I'd probably lean towards flagellates but thats just my somewhat educated guess. Metro would be fine and isn't harsh on the fish. There are about 5 million different protocols for treatment with metro, with the numbers going from 250-1000 mg, anywhere from 2 days to 14 days. Many people expect their fish to immediately start eating during treatment and think the treatment isn't working if the fish don't eat. Follow one protocol, don't expect them to eat and then wait it out to see if the fish turn around. My advice, follow Carol's regimen for intestinal flagellates on this link.

I just finished a week of metro on saturday morning. everyday wc everyday 250mg. days 2, 3, 4 i treated heavier probably closer to 400mg 2-3x a day. did not raise temp since I think you've posted there was no need to increase temp with metro.
-should I re-dose or wait? or should I...
Okay, Thanks Eddie. I will turn up temp and relax. I try some frozen bloodworms in a couplle of days if they don't start eating.
