This morning. The half of the eggs seems to be still alive on the glass. The colors are like yellow to orange and the couple stays with them all the time. I hope I can see some wigglers to confirm the couple.

Yesterday night they cleaned up the remaining eggs. I think mainly because of the water parameters. I will try to get them in a small tank this week with R/O water. Hopefully we will be able to confirm the couple after this. I am very very unpatient about seeing the first wigglers of my discus life. Thanks all who are sharing this excite with me.

Yesterday while I was assembling the R/O the couple laid new eggs in the main tank. I couldn't move them to the small tank with R/O water. I guess I will lose this batch too, but I wanted to share the excite with you guys.
And this morning.... Most of the eggs still there

It had been a little more than 4 years since I had stopped with this tank right after my last post with some layed eggs. I tried a few different reef tanks by this time, but discus had allways stayed in my heart as a disease, and finally I decided to make a u turn at this point and start a new grow out tank soon.
I am planning to start with the following plan.
Display tank : 130x60x50(h) cm
Filtration : Sump system both with mechanical and biological filtration. I am planning to use Zeolith for bactria colonization.
Lighting : 2 x 54W t% lamps
and during this period I am planning to make 80% WC daily. (If I am not travelling because of business)
Food: Home made BH mixture and frozen bloodworms
Strains I want : LSS, Piwo Turks, Blue Cobalt (for now but I can add others during my visits to local breeders)
Hoping to meet with you guys with the setup photos soon.

Tolga YAMAN
Hi Tolga and welcome back. Looking forward to your pics. I think it's always great to see what discus keepers are doing all over the world.
Lifting dictionaries literally strengthens your muscles.
After six years nearly, I managed to close my reef tank and established the new discus tank.
130 x 60 x 60 cm DT
100 x 50 x 50 Sump
Yesterday night I got my new juve's from a fellow local breeder. Starting with 22 juves now, I know it is too much but I am sure I will make some elemination during the grow out period.
Plan is to make 80% daily WC.
Sorry for the bad quality video in the middle of the night.... I will try to send better ones.

Hi Tolga and welcome back to discus and to the forum .
What strain of discus are they ?
How old are they right now ?
How much and what do you plan to feed them with ?
They should become real beauties with your planned BB tank and big daily changes of water .
Good luck Kardas .

Thank you for the wellcome Filip,
I do not remember the quantities but I do the stripes.
PB, Altum, Red White, Cobalt
They are now 2,5 - 3months old from the same breeder which I also followed the parents for some months.
My feeding plan is to feed them with pellets for 4 times untill I come home from work, then frozen blood worms and BH. Of course as a must a big WC before going to bed.
Unfortunately some weeks , I have to travel 3-4 days, It can be once a mounth. I will not be able to make WC in those days, but I will only use pellets with auto feeder. Therefore I reinforced the sump with 3 kg of zeolites in order to support the bio-filtration.
I am open to all suggestions and critics. Please feed me with information

Tolga YAMAN
Some photos since they arrived. SO far I had done %85 WC every night after feeding heavily with BH and FBW.
