Ok so I think i am following this. You know that she was crossed with a pigeon blood to make the Dark Angel and Pigeon is dominant. If she would have been Heterozygous meaning only half pigeon gene than half the young would be Heterozygous for pigeon and the other half would be non pigeon. But since she is Homozygous all the offspring are the same.. Heterozygous for pigeon.. (I just used the pungent square thing to figure that baby out). Am I getting this right?
    Yup

    Tara,

Are you looking for some fry for the contest or are you looking to aquire some at a later stage of developement. If so what size? I am not setup to ship (it is on my todo list). Whereabouts in Illinois are you located? To you ever make it near SW Mi?

Respect man, well done! It really isn't that difficult, just gotta get the gist of the rules. Genetics has great predictive power once you understand the basics.

I am just interested in the cross. I'm hoping they will turn out like I think they will. Maybe I can pick some up from you when we go to the meeting on Oct? I live 4 1/2hrs from you and lol I always end up driving in the opposite direction if I go anywhere.

Yes you live 4 1/2 hours from me true, but I do make it down to the Benton Harbor/St Joe/ New Buffalo area quite often, which is more like 2 hours away from you.

I think they will have alot of blue peppering but I also believe the white should have a blueish sheen to them. I could be wrong how this batch turns out but Its what I saw with a wb & bd cross once.

He actually had a really white base under the blue. These had almost like a blue pearl sheen over the white then the blue peppering ontop of that.
Your female dark angel has like a pearlish sheen that reflects back different colors back in varying light. One thing I noticed at NADA. The female wb from the pairing Im talking about had that also. Makes me wonder if the same thing will happen in this spawn.

3 week update. Preparring to select my 30 contest fish and move them to their own 40 gallon growout tank. This will be something a bit new for me as I usually work with groups larger than 30 at this stage. I will do my first cull at this point (as I am moving them) as well.

Currently feeding them Al's FDBW's, cobalt flake food with pro-biotics, and BBS. They are seen in the pictures eating both the flake and the BBS. Normally I might have them completely off BBS at this stage, but as I have another tank with younger fry they are getting the leftover BBS.
