I'm sure they'll figure it out, but they certainly aren't very bright because even though they appear to have eaten the eggs, they still rush over to the wood like they are protecting something when I walk by.

Pair 1 is very very nice Len. Hope you have much better luck with them next time.

It's been a couple of weeks Len, any news from the front?
President - North American Discus Association
not really Both pairs laid last weekend and they watch guard and constantly move the wigglers, then they all disappear about the time they should go free swimming. I assume they are eating them. That makes 4 spawns for the first pair and 2 for the second pair. The first pair are acting like they are going to lay again but ....

Sorry to hear that Len, I remember those days OH so well. I drove my poor mentor Martha about nuts I'm sure when I was waiting for my fish to have their first successful spawn. Given any thought to trying pulling one of the parents to see if you can figure out who the culprit is? I've never actually done it, but I've certainly thought about it.
President - North American Discus Association
I hadn't thought of that, I just assumed something must be off but not sure what. If I can get my 90 up and running, it would give me more room to move them around and try things like that though.
Len
My mind seems to think of everything, it's zeroing in on the right thing I struggle with.
President - North American Discus Association
sure enough, pair one has another large spawn today.
