I used them once in a while, like 1 or 2 cubes a day but I feed my grow out beefheart flakes and Freeze dried blackworm most of the time.
Anyone use them for growing out? Always thought they were not very nutrious but my fish like them a lot more than beefheart. Any thoughts?

No aquatic creatures were harmed in the creation of this signature, although a large number of electrons were terribly inconvenienced.
They are kinda like potato chips for discus
They're quite a good food, actually. They appear otherwise because their nutritional value not based on their dry weight.

Exactly, the argument that they are only 3-6% protein by weight is a bad argument. It doesn't take into account that they are 95% water. If you compare the nutritional value of freeze dried bloodworms vs freeze dried blackworms you will find them almost identical. They're quite a good food, actually. They do seem to be a lot cleaner than beefheart which is always a plus.
has anyone ever had problems with parasites using Hikari frozen bloodworms? theyre supposed to be sterile and safe to use.
Hikari are the best you can buy. I don't really feed frozen any longer though as I prefer fdbw and flakes
