Depth of tank
I heard somewhere that there is a theory that discus grow better in deeper tanks.
The rationale to use the deep tank is that they will have better sense of security and thus be less prone to get frightened in deeper tanks.
Does this school of thought hold any water ?

Re:Depth of tank
hmmmm..... no idea. but i like the deeper tanks for a nice group. my favourite size tank i think was my 90 gallon.
guess you better go buy one of each and put them beside each other and buy a new group of fish for each tank...and then get back to us with your results. hows that sound?
a great excuse to go buy more tanks and fish if you ask me. all in the name of an experiment. ;D

Re:Depth of tank
I don't think depth matters, as long as its over 18", I think Volume is more important than depth. Anyone want to check this out?

Re:Depth of tank
I knew someone was going to jump on that one. ;D I kept think how to phrase this....its not the depth, its the size...nope sounds wrong. how about, "its not the shape of your tank it's how much water it'll hold"
