I want more wilds im in love with my tefe greens I think they love me too lol I really do they follow me and look for me, have been hand feeding wrigglers and there colors are getting stunning, fins are almost totally healed and I am pretty sure I have a male and female who go everywhere together!
I thought I was obsessed with domestics, then I got 4 green tefe, they are stunning and bold and really make me happy watching them, never seen a fish play under the water changes so much ! They are goofy about it haha so I do two now a day just to please them
One went pale the one who was beat up in shipping but on the worms his eyes are geting red like the others and his color came back beautifully I just havent found more tefe anywhere, where the hell do I get more !? I cant wait to get them out of qt and into 230g (its not ready yet) I intend to make an amazing biotope for them
More wilds please!!

I agree with Matt and Paul completely here.
When I left the hobby a few years back it was all about Domestics. You could hardly find ANY wilds anywhere. Now, I see a lot more people owning them, and a few more sponsors having/selling them.
Believe it or not, I actually came back to the forum because I wanted to set up a 240g tank one day. That day is slowly coming up and I thought that a Wild Biotope type tank would be killer. I get on the forum and look at how far wilds have come!
Pretty amazing really.

Thanks. That red is a wild Mangal from Mark (discus orgins).

Thx, Mark will be getting an email from me soon, I'll tell him you sent me.
Keep in mind, this fish will most likely be yellow when you first get it. It takes wilds at least a year to bring on color like that IME.

Just one more thing about discus that seems to me to be different from some many other tropicals. Even ones that come from the same regions. When I first heard it took up to a year for wild discus to settle in and really show their color I wasn't a believer. Then I got wild discus and found out it was true. Other wild fish seem to get their true colors pretty quickly but not so the discus.

Yup, gotta love wild. I was always a biotope guy, even when I kept SA, CA, Centrals I tried to get WC fish as often as possible and keep their environment as real looking as possible. I do love the color of wild discus, but it's their behavior that does it for me. Completely different than their domestic counterpart.
They are intelligent, and curious, real curious, they will over come their fears to check something out. At least mine are like that. It is fun to watch.
