If you make too much fish food available, they will get hooked on that and not do what you intended him to do.
Ok..so I picked up the green phantom about a year ago on tips from a few highly respected forum members. I thought he would do a lot of sucking..a hard working non stopping algae sucking machine. ... BOY WAS I WRONG!!!
Maybe this L200 is a rare character out of the normal green phantom crowd....but he literally does NOTHING.
24/7, each day, for a month, for almost one year.
If I made a 24 hour video on him you would think it was a still picture.
My tank is bare bottom with several pieces of wood. He attaches himself there an simply only moves inches when food drops around.
I thought he was such a nice green color because green is my favourite color. I can't even enjoy that bc the second he sees me coming he disappears. Maybe that's why the L200 got the name green phantom.
Ok... I feel better now... lol
Bushy nose plecos are definitely hard workers tho.

I have 2 green phantoms in my tank, and both of them are doing a good job. I see them cleaning the glass all the time...Don't put too much food during the day time. At night, just put a small piece near where they usually stay. In that case, you will present the plecos get hungry and search for food at night and not bothering discus.
I don't believe you..... put a video showing the green phantom moving and cleaning the glass with the light on.
I guess the only way you would see it was if you have a bare tank.
Not that I don't trust your honesty...I'm just too tilted by this dam pleco. Didn't get even close to what I expected.

my tank is bare botom, and video will be coming soon
I had a pleco , not sure of the variety, that only seemed to eat wood. All he did was poop! I finally sold him, just too much cleaning up after "him"!
Been there, done that Sandy. Ate more wood than a termite, Lol.

I looked again today and it appears that I bought a WOODPECKER and not a a Pleco. Lol
I think u guys are right he's probably hooked on wood. This would explain why I rarely see him eating fish food too.
