Unhappy Water change ------>>> To new sprinklers to water the yard!

So I do daily water changes of about 250 gallons. I have ran 3/4" PVC distro system using valves out to my yard. But today I put sprinklers on the ends and to my amazement it works. My $65 25 gpm harbor freight pump works great! Now if I could only figure out how to post pics/vids for you all to see how well it works

That's interesting that it has enough pressure to operate sprinklers. How many sprinklers?

I would be interested in seeing a diagram of your system, if you can't post pics. How do you gather/store the water you've changed? How do you send it to the sprinklers? Is any of this automated? Lots of questions LOL!

Great way to save water and Bill. I do it similar water front and back yards by drill pvc. Don't think sprinkle heads week last long. They will get clog quick by fish food and poo.

I water my lawn, also. But, my method is not as complex. I just pump the water from a storage barrel. I hook a garden hose to the pump. I tried using different sprinklers. But, as other have said, they clog easily. I finally found this.

I doesn't cover a huge area. But, hasn't clogged yet.

As my water drains from the tanks it goes into a 44 gallon brute, at the bottom of the brute I installed a bulk head with a bit of a screen for the larger BH pieces. It then gets pumped using the 25 gph pump to 3/4 PVC to outside. There it T's one leg for front, the other to the backyard each valved. I have not finished the backyard yet. But the front I have ran a above the ground (v2.0) distro 1 end has an height adjustable sprinkler. At Home Depot it is the narrow green pole that adjust from 1 foot to about 3. I plan to add 2 more of these because with one it shot 10 feet. They are adjustable tips to adjust the angle for 10 degrees to 360. And if/ when they get clogged I will unscrew and clean them out. One other end has a valve then hose that I run out to the brown spots on the grass.

I drain out the door under a pecan tree. That tree has really produced pecans the last two years. About 40 gallons last year.

Have you ever pumped the 44 gallon brute dry yet? If I tried to set up something like yours, I'd probably try to put a remote switch on that pump so that I could turn it on and off from upstairs, or outside. Sounds like a good system.

I use a device from my home security system that turns lights on/off thru the ap. I watch the brute so I don't overflow it depending on how many tanks are draining at once. I am now going to install some sprinklers for the backyard so it does not take so long to drain the tanks.

I too have a system that waters both my front and backyard that Rick and Jim helped me design. Very functional with lots of pressure to run 10 sprinkler heads. I will be adding an 11th today. I put a sock in my holding tank to catch all of the stuff vacuumed from the tanks. You might want to try that with your brute.
