Thanks they are a proven Pair from Mr. Hans Baltimore
I would put it on than, won't heart.
Why cover the eggs? Have they proven that they are egg/fry eaters?. I always suggest that you give the pair a chance. One of the main reasons that people like discus is their parental care. I would say be patient and unless they prove that you need to cover the eggs just let it go for a few spawns and see what happens.

the problem with them is they are two playful and dashing at each other and i am afraid they may destroy the eggs accidently.
I would follow John's advice if you are seriously wanting to breed them they need their own tank. The dashing agreesion would be trying to keep the others (threats) away from their spawn site. In a comunity enviroment spawns don't normally last you may get lucky but most times not.
Thanks Timmy

no they are in there own 29 gal tank no other discus is there its just that they are extremely playful .but today i have another problem is that one of the adult is swimming on 45 % angle and movements are very slow it looks like he is floating .on top
They are not dogs. They are not playing. They were trying to establich dominance. The only thing going on is completely normal spawning behavior. You have never seen it so you have grossly overestimated the IQ of your fish. They are controled by instinct and not logical thought.

Thanks John , The adult who was swimming on the side (who I think is slow today and swimming on his side ) after removing the mesh and doing a water change ate up all the eggs so I think will have to wait and see .
I would suggest just giving them time. The will probably work it out. They will keep spawning and probably fighting for a while. In nature animals fight.

Thanks John for the good and timely advise God Bless you Buddy .
