Very nice Paul and happy to help. Sorry to hear about the whirlers. Having issues with that myself.
Pat
I have a few threads out there on the Wilds but I'll be posting all the updates in here from now on. Fish have been doing fairly well... Thought I had another whirler there for a minute so I consulted Pat (Second Hand Pat) and Al (brewmaster15). Read through just about every thread on whirling disease on here for a few days and I was scared that I may have to cull another... this was my big blue wild. After a brief discussion with Pat and Al we decided it was best for me to try a quick round of formalin. They both believed my wilds may of had flukes, after treatment I have had no issues to date (close to two weeks since end of treatment). So huge shout out to both! Took a little time out of their day to help a fellow hobbyist in need. Thank you Pat and Al!!!
After all the issues with shipping and getting these guys to the house I am happy to say that I have had 4 spawns with a pair so far... they ate the eggs on the 2nd to 3rd day every time but to see that they aren't huddled in a corner fearing the human that resides with them is a plus. They do get a little skittish at times and 3 refuse to eat from the top of the tank but doing well.
One thing that I failed to mention since I've been into wild discus what got me into "wild discus fever"... Initially it was youtube, a guy that has the name of Brians Fish tanks had a wild tank and that's where I first discovered the beauty of wild discus. I also found a guy who used to be on here (jcardona) build thread, all I have to say is wow!!! Of course at this point you gotta browse all the wonderful people here on SD. I first stumbled upon Pats Wilds, I'm fairly certain this started my obsession with wild reds. Then I found Jacklyn's RSG Tefe's, knew I had to get some Tefe's at this point. So many beautiful tanks and fish are on here!!! Just to name a few more that inspired me into getting into these fish; Matt, Mapet, Jawfish, khooyang, and Mauro. Thank you all! Now onto the pictures...

Very Nice.
Thanks you all
Still doing great!!!
The unconfirmed pair that I have is still unconfirmed. They are on spawn number 7 and eat the eggs on day two- three.
Bought some breeding cones fro Barb this weekend and thinking about moving the two to their honeymoon suite aka the 40 breeder and move the 4 Nhamunda reds to the 125...
These guys are active and healthy and active as ever!
those reds are looking sweet..

Hey Paul, wilds are looking great. Sahuarita, Az. I hope your not to far away from me. When the sale day of the little ones finally comes, I hope I can buy some!
Thanks all!!!
Funny you say that Vegas, I'm exactly 6-6.5 hrs from you. My family lives in spring valley area (Jones/Hacienda). If they ever hatch I'll keep you in mind.
Thanks for the update they look amazing as always!!
Is that a 40 breeder or a 40 long? Not sure if it is the pic playing tricks, doesn't seem as deep as mine, just curious!
When will you decide on the move? What about even a 20 gallon for the pair?
6.5 hours! UGH! That's my breaking point. That's how long it takes me to ride back to the west coast to visit family and friends. Oh well, the things I do for the things I love! Can't wait to hear from you. Good luck!
