Sweet Chevy - Lighthouse
No one has ever accused me or my kids of being completely normal. My youngest is 15 and she loves old pickups. Her mother wanted to get her something newer but the child was serious about getting what she wanted. Serious enough that she sold a good horse to get her money right. Anyway she is now a member of the square body nation. She got a 83 1/2 ton. It runs well and the body is straight and rust free. It does have a few little things that she and I will need to work on but at the end of the day it is a really solid old pickup and she is beside herself excited. Driving back through Dallas trying to get home was had a guy in an old square body that made a point of catching up to us and gave her the thumbs up. It made her day. Here are some pictures of the old girl.

She's a beauty. When I get home I'll post pics of my '89 Chevy S-10. She is my pride and joy.

We're here for a good time...not a long time
I want pics after she takes it to a shiny man. The truck is beautiful. It just needs some love.

John that is a beauty and your daughter has great taste. If it has the 305 ci...you can't kill those engines.
Liz, your S-10 is a great looking truck and very well kept It looks to have a suspension lift.
My daughter is 19 and waiting for me to hand down my 96 Sierra 1/2 ton. Some of these younger generations have it right for once.
While were on the subject John...any plans on getting the mustang...I think a 1965-66 together you posted awhile back stored out in the field.

What a great project for the two of you! I'm sure you'll enjoy every moment !

My middle daughter took my 97 Z71 short bed from me when she turned 16. I hope to one day get it back. The mustang is still just sitting there. Once I move to the farm I might do a little something with it.

nice trucks you guys and gals!! hubby has a 1972 chevy c10 factory air, love it!!
I know nothing about trucks, but this is cool to see... not too many new generation like these older cars...
I like FAT fenders & have a 54 chevy custom with a 1990 vet tpi. At 74 i still have the need for speed. Harry
Here are a couple of pics of my mechanic's grand father's first truck he bought new with his own money. He has it fixed up now. I've seen him driving around town in it. He hasn't done anything to the finish yet. He's a young guy with kids and his wife is in nursing school. He does a enough business that he can pick and choose but because of his present situation he doesn't have the money. He doesn't want to have it repainted. He wants to have it clear coated to preserve the patina. Excellent idea that I never would have thought of.
