German Blue Rams
Hey guys,
In recent events i may be selling my fish due to a faulty silicone job, so i thought why not make the perfect community discus tank?
Im wanting surgestions of discus no brainer compatible fish such as corys. No rummys or cardinals. The tank is 120 gallion high tech planted.
The only fish that must go in are 2 BN and 4to 6 corys and discus.
So what do you guys think will make the best community to compliment the discus?

Ok so rams will be on tye list, what about other fish? Im also looking for a few different schools.
The geos might be abit to big...

I have guppies, Rams, golden dwarf cichlid, angles, BN plecos and ghost shrimp, with my discus.
There is a list of Discus tank mates with pictures on Discus Madness website, look it up and you will be able to make your mind from that.

I've had Gold Rams and Threadfin Rainbow fish that got along pretty well with discus. (I don't know if the higher discus temperature is good for those fish, though, so you have to check that out yourself.)
Generally I would stay away from any fish that is too active or likes to chase each other around. I had some giant danios and they scared the heck out of my discus.
The Discus Madness site Akili mentioned recommends Long Fin White Cloud. I have mixed feelings about this pick. White Cloud minnows are described by many websites as "cold water" fish that doesn't like temperature above 72 degrees. On the other hand, I had one (regular, not long fin) White Cloud in with my discus and he was fine for a long time. So go figure.
Discus Madness also recommends Siamese Algae Eater. I also had SAEs in my tank. When it's just a few of them (like 2-3) they're fine with discus. But if you have more like 6+ they start to become less shy and can be kinda rambunctious, which again sometimes discus don't like.
Good luck!
For better results make sure your discus are grown out(semi adults) before putting them in a high tech tank with other fish.
Hatchetfish do well in my tank. However, make sure you've got a tight fitting lid, they will jump.
Ok thanks guys, im likeing hatchet fish a large school would look sick.ill have to check out that website.
Never heard of white clouds in warm water, i mean like i got them in my freezing pond (pond reaches about 7 degrees Celsius)
Ps sorry for the late reply
