1. Please explain the problems with your fish. When did you notice the problems and did anything unusual happen that you think started them?
woke up this morning and my red discus had a huge string of white and red and black poop.
2. Symptoms (i.e. turning dark, excess slime, not eating, clamped fins, flashing, darting, clamped gills, white/yellow/green poop, hiding, headstanding or tailstanding, white on tips of fins, rotting or fungus, blisters/white zits on fish, bloated, cloudy eyes, wounds).
white, red, and black poop. smallest yellow hides a lot. and just a bit of fin rot on all, although they have had this on and off for a bit of time.
3. What medications/ treatments have you already tried and what were the results. Include dosage and duration of treatment.
just daily 50% wc. if not every other day. just did a 90% wc which i do every week.
Tank/Water
4. Tank size and ages, numbers and sizes of fish.
tank is 50 gal. smallest yellow is 3.5-4. next yellow is 4-4.5. blue is 4.5-5. red is 5-5.5.
5. Water change regime (What percentage and how often).
50% daily if not every other day.
6. How long has tank been running? Is it bare bottom? If you have substrate, what type and how deep is it?
tank has been running more than a year and yes it is bare bottom. recently switched from substrate 2 in thick.
7. Do you age your water? If you do for how long and what is the ph swing.
yes and 24 hrs. maybe .2-.3

discus flakes, als fdbw, and al bio pigment fdbw. 3 times a day. rotate foods.
