Thanks Phil!
I was getting frustrated with the models as I do pay them very well. I decided to throw down some more incentives... They unfortunately were negotiating hard, but I did entice some of their minions...

Great shots. What's the name of the kind of flash that you set on top of the tank and turns the background black?
Mama Bear
Thanks Liz,
I describe it all pretty much right here...
http://forum.simplydiscus.com/showth...sh-Photo-Guide
The flash is a typical camera flash that is super cheap and old. Its from the Film camera days. I use an equally cheap flash trigger that mounts on the camera and Flash so you can fire the flash wireless. Both flash and trigger combined probably cost about $25.00 on Ebay, The black is achieved with a combination of adding a black background physically and playing around with the flash intensity. It takes some trial and error my way,,,but Once you dial it in though its not that hard to do. Newer DSLRs and their speedflashes work wireless on the their own but these flashes cost alot more. Ironically I have one and never use it.. I use a $10 manual one instead. Go figure.
Lastly you usually have to clean up the pics, as the black background and flash shows every spec in the water.

Are you keeping the pair together and going for more ??
Every time I visit this thread your photography skills blow me away and I get all excited about how the kids will turn out. This is a page turner. I can't wait to see the next page.

"You can't trust water: Even a straight stick turns crooked in it." -W.C.Fields
When I initially paired them up it was to verify I had a fertile willing Wild Green to use in my other crosses. I knew the female was good. I did not originally intend to let them raise fry but they were so attentive and the more I thought up .....it seemed like a good experiment and good learning project. The results so far have intrigued me..
I have the pair set up in another breeder 29gal for now. Depending on how the fry turn out I may keep them together. Im in no rush.I have limited free space here .
