Scott, you should have bought a lottery ticket when you got those 3 pairs. Good God
I mentioned before that I ordered six fish from Kenny and got an unbelievable three pairs out of it. I ordered three Red Cover and three Red Heckel Crosses. They paired (1) RC x RHC (2) RC x RC (3) RHC x RHC.
Tonight, the RHC is attempting a spawn for the first time. The female is having spatial issues. They'll eventually figure it out.
One thing that nags me: see the little white specs in the foreground? Some are free-floating in the water, but some are on the acrylic. Has anyone seen these before? My concern is that they're parasites, but I saw these in different tanks before when I was raising neocaridina shrimp and didn't cause any issues. I've ordered some macro/micro scope lenses to try to get a clearer picture of these.
Hope the CovidCrazy is treating ya'll well.

The bugs look like seed shrimp or copepods ?
She may do better with a larger object to lay on .

Thanks for the input on the bugs. I've just ordered microscope I will take pictures and post them.
Yeah, I need to get them a breeding cone.
Stunning pair Scott...love how thier color looks in breeding mode!
Right? That was a lucky day!
But if you have a winning lottery ticket, I'll trade you three discus pairs. Haha.
Yeah, they really light up, don't they? I'm not expecting much from these guys for a while since this is their first attempt.
I favor wilds, so this is my favorite pair of the three. Once this pair starts successfully spawning, I'll sell off the other two pairs.
