My comfort food is macaroni and cheese with fried polish sausage cut into round slices mixed in with it. Easy to prepare and cook but adds a great flavor to the mac and cheese.
Everyone has a few dishes that just makes them happy or picks them up when they are down. Doesnt need to be a fancy dish, most times its a simple dish that brings back memories of a more simple time..
For me.. peanut butter and jelly on toast is a good one. I used to eat that as a kid.
I also really enjoy the warm pick me up of yellow curry.... even instant box curry noodles (my lunch just now btw) it just is so simple and so good.
For a more complex meal it has to be pot roast...
or left over lasagna..cold. . Its how I had it growing up after a holiday meal
How about you? What are your comfort foods?

Corned beef hash...late 70,s
Raisin bread toast with honey, or french toast for breakfast - & Lasagna, among others.
Just make sure you cut the polish sausage into slices, put them in a fry pan and when they are done put them in a bowl. Then cook the mac and cheese and when that is done with the cheese in it then mix in the sausage with the mac and cheese and everyone will love it. When you do it let me know how it was.
Mine has to be a steaming bowl of good beef stew. Made one just last week. Lots still left in the freezer, too.

I'm equal opportunity for comfort food. I do like a good beef stew or biscuits and gravy though.
For me, it is pasta bolognese. It takes me back to my childhood. Italian heritage,
New England boiled dinner. I don't like my cabbage cooked in the broth, though. While I rest the meat, I roast the cabbage.
