Extremely sad to read this.
Went over to see and found out that you are completely out of stock.
Hi all,
I am really sorry about this but I have some very bad News. I really don't know how to post this and have been beating myself up over it all day. I received an email today from Australian Blackworms . The Gist of the email was that after many months of set backs the Farm is not able to supply its distributors anymore. They stated that they could not give an estimate as to when they could resume supplying us.Basically their worms are depleted and not reproducing fast enough. I spent many years (14yrs) selling these worms and promoting them. I was one of their first distributors ( the first?) and cherish the Journey. I sincerely believe they are an incredible product line better than any others out there. But I can not supply your needs for them for the foreseeable future. . I have seen signs that this was possibly coming but hoped that the farm would rebound. I still hope that will happen. But I do not know.
The people that buy from me aren't just customers. Some of you have been with me since Day one. Many are Friends. I am of course worried about what this means to my business and have some sleepless nights ahead, but I am more worried about how this will affect all of you . I am so sorry. I know many of you have relied on me to supply you and I have not been able to do so reliably for a while now . Its been a source of frustration for me. But with this news I just feel terrible.
Its doubtful that my business will survive until the farm is producing again. 90% of what I sell is Australian Freeze Dried Blackworms. They have been my heart and soul. If they become available again I will try and offer them to you all again.I do not really know what the future holds for AquaticSuppliers at this point. I do sell two very good pellets but its not really enough to help get thru this. Australian Freeze Dried Blackworms are a hard act to follow.
I will spend some time trying to regroup but I am really not hopeful here. Really no Idea what I am going do at this point. Its much like working at a place you really love and getting a pink slip. Its going to be an adjustment. The wind is gone from my sails.
Thank you everyone that has bought from me all these years, You may not realize it but you helped Keep the Forum online and helped me so many times. Thank You from the bottom of my heart.
Sincerely,
Al

Your discus are talking to you....are you listening
Ugh- was looking forward to order more from you, Al!
Al, I have been brooding over this all night but we still have fish to feed including yourself. Will you be switching your fish to all pellets like to two you offer? Or are you considering seeing what else may be a good replacement for the worms? You have a market place here on the forum, lets fill it

Bummer to hear about the farm shutting down shipments to distributors.
Time to start a new business venture - AquaticSuppliers Blackworms.
That's sad to hear, Al. I know how a loss of income can be a kick in the head.
As for me and my fish, we will manage. It's not like the worms are the only good food out there, it's their favorite, though. It's a blast to watch the Discus attack them with such a vengeance. Between Dan's live, then later freeze dried worms, and your Australian worms, I've been feeding Blackworms for over 20 years. But I know that the Discus will thrive without them. I guess I'll get my mosquito cultures going again and depend on them and my white worm cultures to give the fish and myself a bit of fun.

I echo Liz's feelings. What caused this? Is there the possibility that maybe that some body
say in SC or FL could start up an operation for raising these, maybe even in Ct.
There is a company in Ca. that sells fdbw maybe you could become there distributor
In the US. Will still order Disus chow. Best of luck.
