what are they?

today was my first day working in a pet shop, i love it, there is soo much to learn though. anyways some guy came in and brought discus to give to the lfs, i was trying to figure out what they were. Im sure that 3 of them are pbs of some kind because of the peppering. One of the 3 was very dark, top half almost solid peppering, bottom a tanish brown color, and the top fin had some blue. another one was bright yellow/orange with peppering. Then there was a blueish one, really dark, with peppering, looks like it could be from an angel blue and pigeon mix. The last one stumped me kinda....looks almost exactly like a red turq...but no red...instead of the red stripes it had yellow ones...
anyways, anyideas on what they are???

I'd imagine they'd be pretty hard to identify showing their stress colors like that...

now, the yellow pigeon in the last pic, does it look like a pretty good fish? i really like that one, and i was thinking about putting it in my 40 gallon which i have now made barebottom.

first one looks like a red turq, and the other a BDcross with a PB or somthing else.

Very bad quality fish.

It doesn't look too good either, Mike. The color is nice but it appears to be runted (note the large eyes that are disproportionate to the body size of the fish).

alright thanks, i really wanted a pb like that one..but i rather not have a runted fish. they have other discus too. all those were just brought in from some guy who didnt want them. ::sigh:: i wish i had enough money to order some beautiful fish.

Don't be mixing other peoples discus that have been run through the pet store's tanks with your discus. . . . Unless you want to spend your salary on medications and your nights waiting for me to post how to use it.

first off they will be going in a tank that i dont have discus in. plus this petstore is really good about keeping there discus healthy. Im looking for 4 or 6 good discus to put in my 40 gallon aquarium that used to be a community tank, but now is barebottom, and ready for discus. ill just have to keep looking i guess

that link didnt work, but im assuming that is for his beginner package of 7 discus...right? i look at that, and i really want that....but is 7 discus too many for a 40 gallon? i have lots of filtration, and when they get bigger i can split them up between my 40 and my 44 gallon. i sent him a pm asking about that, now im just waiting.
