I used Jungle Clear Water Liquid which is a weaker solution of PP. 1 tsp. per 10 gallons, let sit for 10 minutes, then I put in a bucket with Prime and tank water while they were waiting to plant.

    Worked fine for me.

HP can damage them quickly if its too concentrated so I don't use that, salt can work, but rinse thouroughly, PP works well, again rinse well. Belive it or not bleach solution works, but for 5 mins only and rinse well. Don't know the other product you mention. I normally use PP and would recommend that.

I'm confused... I thought salt killed plants?.. I guess just for prolonged exposure then?

    Amber,
Potassium Permanganate is your best choice. Bleach will kill any plant with "soft" leaves. H2O2 (Hydrogen Peroxide) will also kill any soft leaved plants... actually much like bleach; it is a strong oxidizing agent. I would never use salt, but in saying that I also have to say I never have, so I don't have any experience with using it.. Many folks use alum to sanitize their plants, but again I have never tried this.
If you decide to use bleach a 10 to 1 solution works well, but I would only keep a plant in this solution for less than a minute. I have used bleach in this way on Echinodorus (Sword Plants) and Anubias with good results. I have also used H2O2 and it too works well, again using a 10 to 1 solution..
Seachem Paraguard contains aldehyde and I doubt that it is a good idea to use on plants, but I could be mistaken. I do know if you send an e-mail to here http://seachem.com/support/FAQs/ParaGuard_faq.html Seachem has always answered my questions in a very timely manner.
Why do you feel you need to disinfect your plants?

    Hth,
    Larry
