Well not just where to buy, I was wondering a few questions.
What i plan to do is buy a nice big tank, get an external filter for it. Maybe a RO filter or a HM filter to make the water alright.
I've looked all over Google for a suitable place to buy and look at different sized tanks but I'm really getting lost. Can anyone direct me to a website? And what size should i get? I'm looking to have maybe 10-15 discus. So i was thinking either 100 or 150gallon?
Another important question I have to ask is: How do you adjust the PH of the tank? And is it tricky?
Will probably add more questions soon =D

Thanks for that! Should i get in touch with him to ask him about tank setup and everything? And do you know if he ever comes on these forums?
I just saw some of the fish that he has and they are beautiful, i will definately purchase some discus from him.
Anyone else got any tank selling websites?
Ok i've found an about 180gallon tank for £200.
I'm thinking thats too big for a discus tank.
the link is here: http://www.aquariums.ltd.uk/TankDeta...AQCID797374904
I'll probably get something smaller because i think 180gallon is too
big for my first tank hehe =D.
I've also looked at the external filters here:

I quite like the look of a few of them.
Just thought i'd post what i've been looking at =D
I don't think a tank can be "to big". Discus require clean water and that is easier to do with a light bioload (more water per fish). Don T.
The general rule of thumb with discus is one per 10 gals. This can very depending on your maint schedule. they do need clean water.
And as far as a question in your first post concerning PH.
discus do fine in PH as high as 8.0+ unless you plan on breeding and even then there is quite a bit of controversy.
My 75 is sitting at 7.8 right now and goes any where from 7.7 up to 7.9.
I used to use chemicals to lower it and yes it was tricky and a real pain not to mention completely unnecessary.
Although when I first tried to raise it my fish were not happy with the sudden change so over a period of several weeks I decreased the chems to the point where I didn't use them at all. and fish are happy. I had an lfs guy tell me that to keep them happy and colors bright the PH had to be low, Well I can see no difference in colors from when I was keeping the ph lower and the fish are happier without the chems and constant fluctuations.
what I have found is consistency is the important factor.
180 gallon tank for discus would be fantastic...I would get about 20 fish for that size tank....Make sure you set-up a good filtration system and do regular water changes and that amount of fish will thrive...
As far as RO...check you water parameters first...If you have soft water with little Kh then you will not need an RO unit since your PH will drop over the course of a few days.
