    Default Hard water stains

    Hello,
I have five 40 gallon breeding tanks I purchased, used, from a friend of mine. The sides of the tanks are covered with hard water stains. I have tried scrubbing (for long periods of time), with brillo pads and vinegar and rubbing alcohol. These attempts have not removed any of the stains. I have kept discus in these since this, but I have sold some fish and would like to remove the stains before I introduce more fish.

    Any advice would be welcome,
    Thanks Kraig Koontz

Get them wet then try a razor blade.

I would have thought that the razor blade would work well.
