I just wanted to tell you guys I will not be attending the meeting next week anymore... I have officially given up my attempt to have a planted Discus tank I can't keep plants alive and I can't even keep cardinal tetras alive! What on earth gave me the impression that I could actually have a discus tank I'll never know. I just have no clue when it comes to plants or Discus I guess. I just thank God that no Beautiful Discus died at my hands. Although I can't say that about the 100 Cardinals that died for me to get to this reality. $170 wasted! Anyway sorry for being so dramatic hope you all have a good time.
Thanks for all of your help,
    Donato Russo

Having a balanced, thriving, long-lasting, plant tank is a huge accomplishment and quite difficult, it requires many failed attempts. Cardinals! They are much, much, much harder than Discus! Brew could put some very strong, practically bullet proof discus in your hands, easily!

    Donato,
You can have a discus tank!!! Anyone can! Just need to learn the basics.... come to the meeting and we'll talk... or if you prefer... come on up here any other time and I'll help you figure it all out. Its frustrating when plans don't work out.. but sometimes alls we need is a little help!

Drop me a PM... lets talk and I'll see if I can help.

    Best regards,
    al..

    Joe,
I'm hoping this summer I'll be up your way...If so...I would be honored to meet with you, see your fish and smoke your cigars!

I told Ashay that I will just meet him at Al's house. I think that's the safest thing, But we sure did have fun that day.

Are they difficult to raise as I was thinking of doing some kind of live food for my Discus but am not sure what would be safe to do. As of now I am feeding :
    Tetra Color Bits
    Hikari frozen blood worms
    Hikari frozen brine shrimp
And of course Al`s beefheart mix
