    Default Lighting Options

    anyone ever thought about something like this?


    250w , clip on.... i don't know how a halogen would do.... might just get to hot~... .. but a clip on .... 30 bucks???.. .come on

    Hmmm, not sure it would blend too well with a show tank . . . just my 2cents.

    I use these when working under my car in the garage. They will get very hot and I am not sure how well the light disperse throughout the tank. What are you looking to do?

    you can get aquarium halogen lamps, lot prettier than that and a lot more expensive, sometimes use in saltwater tank to propogate corals

    they produe a nice natural ripple effect in the water, however i would thing them too bright for discus

    they will heat the water

    some of the planted tank experts use them for midday sunbursts

    i figured as much.... i use a corallife 4x65 now... . i'm thinking of going to t5 or t8's instead of CF's and doing my own canopy~..
