Default removing the mirror back off a 55

Well folks I have aquired a 55 gallon high tank here got it for cheap ! Didnt want it when i saw it but I was made an offer I couldnt refuse. So any way here is the first part I started to dry scrape the paint of and needless to say it wasnt working out so well then I used some paint remover and the thick paint in the back started to peel right off.But then I had a mirror like film sort of what you would have on sunglasses. So I scrapped some more and some more and then I got the sander out and started to use an old light grit paper on the glass and it really started to come off!I have one picture that I am going to upload of when I first started to take the paint off.More to come!

That seems like a lot of work to do on a 55. You can find brand new 55's around here for less than $100 on sale. But, that's just me, I'm old and lazy.

Darrell, I have went the distance on this tank and gave up I got a good deal on it and all but I have to say it wasnt worth the time I would say I got 90 percent of the mirror off and then I said the hell with it I just painted it so on the left lower corner theres a cloudy mirror spot about 10 inches around. You are right it wasnt worth it
