I don't have a lot of experience with Discus diseases, guess i've been lucky so far.
My Red Cover has one large protruding growth in the center of his body. It is white and has grown, It is not a "bump" shape, it is shaped like a type of worm or parasite even though it is not moving. His behavior has not been affected yet.
Can somebody help me out with diagnosis and treatment?
Thanks in advance

I'm guessing Ick or Whitespots. Definately an external issue.

Yes Eddie, That is definetely what it has. So far i only see one growth. Can you tell me what it is and the treatment?
I believe a member (boxters) mentioned them to be skin mites. I have never dealt with any skin mites but Flubendazole or PP was suggested. I am pretty sure Trichlorfon (Anti-Fluke Life Bearer) will also take care of them.

Thanks for your help Eddie,
I have him in QT with Quik Cure. Will this work or should I switch to what you suggest.
Last question: Is this contagious? Should I treat the community tank also?
All external parasites are contagious by nature. Think of them like mosquito's.
