If you get the nitrites to zero with 90% WC and follow that waste carefully so it stays zero - add salt (1 tsp/10 gal) and an air stone, the fry should make it fine.
would there be any way to salavge the fry since there my brothers(increased w/c etc) not a big fan of culling fish
not sure if it will make a differnce but going back to the date they hatched they are only just hit the 3 month old stage

thanks guys after doing a 50% water change last night and one this morning ive noticed a huge difference more lively and no longer sitting in the corners, tho they still have dark colours and the odd clampd fin and a few still head/tail standing ones but hopefully more w/c will fix that time to do another 50% w/c
update on the nitrite its dropd from 0.50 to 0.25 so still some left
