    Default Lighting, again...

Finished my light fixture. Two T8 tubes (inch diameter) overdriven with the direction found on this site 2x with a F32T8 electronic ballast (4 tube type). It's been installed for about 2 weeks now and the plant growth has been amazing!! The tubes are $4 each. The ballast $30. Tube fitings $3, an electric cord and metal housing(off an old lamp) and some wire and glue. The lack of space to put the lights is what drove me to this overdriven set up. I have only 2.5 inches on either side of tank due to the wall in the middle. All that is left is the finishing touches with some molding or some type of frame to hide the electrical connections. The tank is a 55gal. set on a counter inbetween the living room and kitchen.

Beautiful looking tank giroux. Wish it was mine.

Thanks for the complement on the tank. That was one of the easier projects with that tank. The plant growth is spectacular with them.
