SECOND GROUP - Solarium where the Show Tanks will be located and Meeting rooms
Chad and I had to go by the Sheraton today to get measurements of the room we will use for the Show Tanks so we can start work on the layout for the stands. While we were there I snapped a bunch of pictures and thought you guys might want to see them.
FIRST GROUP - Lobby and some of the public areas of the Hotel.

Wow, looks great Larry! Can I set up my table right there in the lobby??? Can hardly wait for it all and I hope lots of SD members will be there to enjoy it!

WOT! A fish show room that is well lit, open space with easy to clean floors!!!??? That is not possible! Next you are going to tell me that the staff is nice and friendly and they have more than one bartender on staff at a time! Oh...and the tanks are heated...I can't believe it!
Nice job guys! Looking forward to it! Getting fish to the SPA now so they can start their prep!

Looks great Larry. I think that I have my wife talked into going. Well, maybe she wont go! But then that would be even better for me!

The Lobby might be ok but I think a table full of your cones will look much better with all the fish.
It is indeed a very spacious room. The wall of doors and windows along with the bank of sky light above give it an amazing amount of natural light pouring in. Everyone we have met on staff is indeed nice and friendly, this is the South so that is what you get. I don't drink (don't hold it against me please) so I can't really speak about the bar and yes the tanks will indeed be heated. No ice cold ACA water for us!!
LOL John, I can always count on you. Dang, you are always looking for another opportunity to pull out that dress.

Larry, Looks great and quite a lot like the Sheraton I stayed at in Jacksonville. How's the parking?
Your discus are talking to you....are you listening
In the third picture from the end you can see Chad and his son Levi standing in front of the wall of doors. This is actually the rear of the hotel. The two story structure is all the meeting spaces for the hotel. It actually has a feel of being a separate structure from the Hotel proper. You can see the multi storied guest room part of the Hotel in the background. From the Lobby you walk down a long hallway to get to the Solarium. The doors that Chad and Levi are standing in front of are the doors you can see in some of the Solarium pictures. We will be able to drive up to these doors to load and unload. We will be able to drain directly out the doors. Directly above those doors, not seen in the outside shot, is a large bank of sky lights. As you can see in the pictures the Solarium is two stories high and there is a balcony on the 2nd floor that surrounds the perimeter of the room. One of the photos shows Chad and Levi standing in front of two doorways in the Solarium. Those doors enter into our meeting room so the Show room and meeting room are directly linked. I think it is going to be quite stunning. I had to include the last picture. This is a little patio off the second floor above the Solarium. For those that were at the ACA at night, there was a little patio very much like this one. I told Chad we would call this Hansie's patio.

So what with deal with the dress??

Jacksonville was the same way. At least the Hotel had it's own parking garage.
