    Talking Furry friends

I thought some of our furry pets deserved to have their own show off time here.

Both are Quarter horses. The bay roan is my roper/cow horse and the black is my recently retired reining horse.

He looks a bit different from the side. All the dark marks are old scars from before I got him.

What beauties. I thought I was looking at a roan. It's been a while since I have played with horses. Some day I will have one or a few.
Where do you find the time to have discus and horses? I have looked under every nook and cranny.
    Enjoy all of your pets.

Quarters horses were my second guess. Tnt77, they are both very handsome horses. How old is your reiner. My senior is 26.

Sadly he is only 7yrs old. I found out that he has navicular and decided to retire him. He has a permanent home with me till the end of his days.

Ya I think he was started too young. It's sad I didn't get him till later. And no he has old abcesses that go 3/4 of the way through the navicular bone. It's to the point where the integrity of the bone is greatly comprimised. So I would rather not risk his life to have fun.

I wasn't thinking about fun...more if he likes to be ridden light riding may do him good but not with his bone compromised that much.

Actually you can't ride him without having fun. He's just that good of a horse. Never had a reiner that could spin as smooth as he can and his lead changes are wow.
