Good Pair????????????/

still too new to breeding discus and cross breed them so need some answers. I have a Spotted SS female and she decide to pair up with one of my RSG male, so will this be a good pairing or bad? Also, they currently have a batch of fry right now but have no idea what they will be like when they mature or grow up so any thought?

That's a perfect pair. as long its not pigeon blood type.

Excellent pairing of strains. Unless the RSG is tank bred and has some SS in it's background expect 9 bar fish. I wouldn't mind seeing pics.

the bad thing is that the male is not a Wild RSG discus. Have tried to see whether I can get a wild RSG but no luck.

They're hard to come by. I tried to find one for 'bout ever and finally gave up. Either way it's a good cross.

You could be right. I've never really understood the way the genes of snakeskins work. It's weird with them. Still, in my ignorance of the truth, my guess is all 9 bar.

Surely you know by now Gary, how selective I am when it comes to buying fish. I was never able to find one that suited my taste.

There was one that had a really decent body but lacked the coloring for the price.

I didn't know. I'll take your word for it. That is great! SS's add an interesting dimension for me.
