Well I removed the majority of my Java moss out of my small Fluval shrimp tank and was able to count around 40+ babies. I also found that two of my females are Berried again. Not sure if these are the same as previous or not. One of them is a Tiger Tooth S grade and the other is a SS grade. Man these baby shrimp are small. I have seen a couple that look promising SS grade from what I can tell at this point. At this rate I will have to start getting rid of them pretty soon or Start a larger tank. Heck I may throw some into my Discus tank for the heck of it to see how long they last. That and to give my discus some exercise chasing them around......I will try and get some pictures but unfortunately my camera just does not do closeup's that well on something this small.
Oh Skip was nice enough to let me use his spot to post this. I guess because he wanted some of these guys/gals

I'm curious how long they would last with discus
A few plants in mine, so may be able to hide a bit
If you experiment, let us know
Shrimp being worth that much is weird to me... only because shrimp breed like mad and take up so little space....
Eric
Skip if you are worried about not having enough for you don't worry.....Oh and I would only put the lowest grades in my discus tank. The rest I would sell or take to the LFS for store credit. I have two that are currently berried and about 40 babies of varying sizes so plenty. I am however waiting until they get a bit larger to give them a fighting chance in the discus tank.

yeah, I've seen no CRS reproduction since I've gotten them. I have hard water though... I did read in another forum (I think, can't keep track any more) that someone said he watched while his CRS was molting as a RCS killed her and ate her.
My CRS population has been stable (the 10 I bought minus one that died recently but does not appeared eaten) though. I don't care too much right now since the CRS are low grade but I would like to see my CBS breeding.

They're from good stock,mateys!............

What denotes the different grades of shrimp? And, also what do the different grades cost

I am just going to point out I am using tap water that I mix in a 5 gallon jug. I mix in some of the shrimp safe that came with the Fluval shrimp tank. Also my water is insanely hard from all the limestone we have down here in texas. I currently have around 50 babies and have seen 3more females that are berried up. Deffinately going to need a larger tank shortly. If nothing else will start putting some of my lower grade in with my discus tank..if nothing else will see how long they last.
