There are a couple of schools of thought on setting up a wild discus tank. You can find out what you need to by doing an independent search yourself, rather than starting a new thread about an old topic for which there is an emense amount of data here already [my respectful suggestion]. One thing to understand about the environment that wild discus come from is that there are few plants in this portion of the Amazon river--roots and branches are found in the water all along the riverbank where discus live and breed, however. If you want wilds to be comfortable in an aquarium, replicating their original biotope [good word to search on] is a good place to start.
Best regards and happy hunting,
