Very nice Jeff! I really want to start up a sw tank but I have a feeling it would get neglected with all my time spent with the discus.
Here are some photos of my 50 gallon reef tank. I added a 30 gallon sump behind the tank. These are photos just before my cleaning. I wanted to show the corals extended before the cleaning when they hide. Now with the new sump and protein skimmer, I have combatted the red slime outbreak and all looks good with just some green algae creeping on the glass. No worries, will be clean today!
The Rose Anenome has just split for the second time so now there are 3 mouths to feed. He now extends over 7" wide when all the way open and almost 10" in height when reaching for the light. I will update his photos soon.
The lighting is a LED fixture.

All softies Jeff? Pretty tank.
Thank you Pauline. It is 3 years in the making.
It is 3 years old. Thank you.
Thanks Bill. Hopefully he would enjoy it like I do.
Yes Pat, all softies right now. I am hoping to get a hard coral soon and see how it does under the led's. I switched from halides. The leds are keeping the soft corals and anenome looking good. Will see. Thank you.

I see some trading in my future I know nothing about salt water fish and you do......very interesting.....LOL......josie
Nice Jeff I really like small salt water setups
My wife names my fish
Thanks Josie. My corals have grown from little nubs so I am proud of them and trading would be good.
Thanks Sean, I use to have a 150 gallon reef for about 4 years, but went to freshwater a few years ago. I missed my big reef but only had room for the 50 now.

Jeff,
That is gorgeous. I have something to look forward to and someone to answer my questions. I just started a saltwater reef in a Nano cube that is in my office. My boss bought it for me for Christmas. And personally I think it is harder than taking care of discus. Which reminds me that I need to run water tests.
