Nice looking fish, great shapes. Here is a dumb question. How do you get the worm feeders to stay upside down. Are they special ones? Mine are loose in the holder and would just fall out.
Sometimes you sit and think, sometimes you just sit.

I hunted down the original cones which are all one piece. Found them in my lfs last year, then had to head to Amazon.com to find them again this year when I needed new ones. I'll warn you though, the suction cups vary according to whatever they have at the time, so you might get a great one, or you might get a useless and have to replace it with one of your own. For under $2 these things are totally worth it for me. =)

Toni what % of water do you take out daily at this size? And how much did you change when they where Juvies?

Hi Jeff,
I bought them at 4", plopped them into a 50g pentagonal tank and changed water twice a day. Smaller 60% change in the morning and larger 80-90% change after the last beefheart feeding at night.
I know you didn't ask, but they had 6 feedings a day, plus snacks in between if they were really begging and pestering me. 2 Variety Discus Flake meals, 2 Al's FDBW meals and 2 San Fransisco Bay Beefheart meals.
They stayed in that tank for 2 months, and by then it was obvious that they'd outgrown it.
I finally reduced WC's to one 90% per day when they reached 6" and went into the 115g tank. Had to increase it now and then whenever a new batch of 4" discus went into the big tank to compensate for the new load on my bio-media and to clean out any leftover beefheart.
They currently are getting 90% every other day, except when I feel the tank needs a little extra attention, and then I increase it to every day for a couple of weeks. It's not for the benefit of the jumbo discus, it's more for the benefit of the "little" 6" discus who aren't even a year old yet. LOL
