I am going to be putting 1" sheet insulation over the plywood and reflextix around the painted sides of the tanks. Still debating if I want to seal/paint the racks.

I am not sure what you are asking. They are 2x4s that I used an adjustable depth saw to cut out a channel for the horizontal 2x4 to sit it. This way the wood holds the weight and not the screws. Instructions are at the link below.

Great video just what I needed to see. My next stands will use this method for the fish room. Thanks for sharing.
My only concern is this. Wood gets wet and chemicals get into the spilled water. Spilled water finds its way into bottom tank and affects fish. If this is something I don't need to worry about then I will seal the wood. I just don't want to do something that "could" hurt the fish.
I only wish I had as much room as you do. Should end up a very nice room once everything is in place..

Ok, I will paint it. Air pump from Kensfish.com came today. Got here super quick for free shipping. I have a wedding to go to this weekend so I don't know how much work I will get done. Wife also has me working in the yard.
PS: all the electricians will be happy to hear that I have the flexible conduit and hope to install soon. ~

Love it!!! Trust me, you'll tank me later. Lol! I built racks for 27 tanks and I wish I had done the same.
