Ya I was planning on using 1/2" tubing and using in line ball valves both before and after the reactor. The pump has an adjustment screw also I do believe.

Im not illiterate...only my phone's auto correct is
Finally got some time today so I drilled the tank.
Two holes for the Eclipse overflow and one hole for a water change bulkhead.
The only downside to the Eclipse overflow is the weir has slots in it and if you use the template as is, your water line will be below the trim. I fixed that!
big day here, got the new roller filter running through a dry run.
got the new tank in place and overflow installed.
Other than the template issue those eclipse overflows are a treat.
Did some dry fitting tonight, plan on doing some major plumbing this weekend. Here is the over flow box dry plumbed down to my auto roller filter. I will put in the baffles this weekend, finish the plumbing and give it wet test.
I have to do some electronic wiring for the roller controller, but it is mostly wire management as the code is all written.

I can't wait to see the roller filter in action.
Installed the prototype electronics to dry test it....like I said I have some wire management to do...but IT WORKS! and it should be 200 feet not 96 inches for units!

Everything is dry fitted for plumbing, will finish gluing up in the morning. The baffles are in, they will sit overnight to cure. Then I think I will give it a leak test tomorrow afternoon.
Had to heat up and but a little odd bend into the two overflow pipes to get them exactly where i wanted.
Hoiy Filtration Bat Man!
I fired it up for a short leak test tonight...this thing could filter Shamu's tank!
How long did you let the silicone cure? I let mine cure for just 24 hours and it killed two of my discus. Let it cure for a week before adding fish.
It looks awesome by the way, great work!
Did you get the mildew resistant stuff on accident?
About 36 hours, but I wont be getting fish for a week or two.
I gotta figure out the best way to tone down the flow, I think I'm going to T off the return and some will go to a purigen reactor and some will go right back into the sump.
Man I over engineered this thing! It is Niagara Falls going into the external overflow!
No, I got the right stuff, and followed the instructions on the back of the tube. The tube actually had a silhouette of a fish on it, it was by DAP. Turns out there is (allegedly according to DAP) more in depth instructions on their website, which suggests a week for aquarium applications. Within 24 hours of installing the sump, my two biggest discus were dead. It was so much work to build and install the sump, I thought I was doing something great for my fish, it was like a punch in the face on your birthday. If it wasn't for Jacklyn and Al, I probably would have lost them all.
I really suggest letting that cure for more time. I don't think it will continue to cure with water in there.
Alright, I'll take you advice, I have most of the water drained out already.
