Very nice Pat!
Nine little wild rams ended up at my place tonight. Ryan and I had gone in on a shipment together from wetspot. Ryan kept them for a little over a week so they could recover from shipping and nine of them found their way to my place tonight. They are a bit thin so will hopefully have them in better shape soon. After about an hour in the tank they were exploring.

Very nice Pat!
Pat they look good, Its a good sign that they are eating well. Keep an eye on their fins though. A few look clamped and they Look opaque in the Video .They are moving them rapidly... That could be protozoan issue ( oodinium) .. I know I don't need to tell you this, but Definitely be careful of contamination to your other tanks. Those growout Discus will not do well if they pick something up.
I'm jealous though I have tried multiple times to get wild rams and they just don't come in well.

Al, we ordered 15 and lost 6 plus shipping was delayed a day and that did not help. Ryan is getting a new batch but did not want to mix the new guys with these guys so they came home with me last night. They are in a separate part of the house to avoid any cross contamination. If they do have a protozoan issue what do you suggest treatment wise?

Formalin with Malachite Green is a good option, Seachems paraguard is more gentle but should work also.

Hope they color up soon and are okay Pat. I like their attitude. They remind me of chihuahuas that seem unaware of their small stature.
I’ve never heard of oodinium. Another one for the notebook to research. Diagnosing fish is the hardest and most critical part of fishkeeping imo and something I’d like to get good at.

Wow, they look great!!
Put them in RO and you’ll have fry soon. I think we both FINALLY managed to snag decent wild rams, which is not easy.
they look like they are settling in famously Pat...some color and attitudes coming out there as well...definitely see a mix of males & females...what are you keeping them in? Any special water treatments apart from the almond leaves? What are they feeding on...BBS? Nice work Pat!!
