Hi all,
For the last 1-2 week or so, I've tried adding salt (about 2g per liter water) for a few days, and tried adding oxytetracycline for a few days (totally avoided light as Tammy suggested) for the fish. I performed daily 50%+ water change for him while doing the above treatment. It has no sign of improving. The "black mark" is still there. However the fish is still active and begging for food (which I am happy).
But I am still worried because with that "black mark", he may be venerable to bacteria attack or something similar.
Looking forward to any other diagnosis/ advice.
Thanks all again,
Has the are gotten bigger? If not i would just continue the salt and water changes. It takes a while for them to heal.

most fish meds by pharmaceuticals company treats tropical fish but discus requires adjusted dosages for treatments...I measure by weight .....mg per 10 gallons x duration(days) ...... If the dose is too high or treatment times are too long, there is a danger of toxicity to the fish, frequently causing liver, kidney, or other organ damage that may or may not be reversible.
On the other hand, if the dose of antibiotic is too low or treatment time is too short, the bacteria will not be killed or weakened enough for the immune system of the fish to remove them, and this greatly increases the risk of the bacteria developing resistance to the antibiotic.
