it just turns orange.

Not exactly, its more related to their diet. Adult yellow fish can be very deep yellow if fed correctly.

Which I am trying to figure out how to do with my fry. Any assistance on that would be greatly appreciated Eddie! ;)

When you say that Eddie, are you talking PBs, non-PBs, or both?

I'll try to dig some info up from the nutrition section. The topic comes up quite often. The trick is to avoid feeding foods that have red color enhancers. Most processed fish foods and lots of natural foods contain red color enhancers so you have to be very particular on what you choose. The best method will be to create your own food mix that only supports yellow carotenoids.

Ah yes, how quickly I forget. Kenny also suggested a host of seafoods to stay away from.

What seafood did Kenny say to stay away from.

Hi all

I have had read some of the old thread from last year or early this year. I know some of SD members used corophyll_ pink and carophyll-yellow for their discus. But I couldn't find any update until now. I love to see the result if some body still using it.

Rick,

So you are soaking the Al's black worms in it for how long and then feeding it to your fish?

I have Yellow Diamonds. The male is yellow but he has quite a bit of orange on him. His mate is more orange than yellow I think. I have only had them about 3 months so I have no idea what they were fed before I receive them.

The male

I seem to remember salmon and shrimp, though to be perfectly honest I wasn't that worried about it and probably wasn't paying the best attention to that part of the conversation. I was more interested in the fish we were discussing, no surprise given it was Kenny I was talking to. :)

It sort of made sense given their coloration...I fear my common sense is probably a lot better than my memory.
