I just bought a new 125 gallon tank 6’ long 2’ high and 18” wide the issue I have now is filtration. I was thinking about putting an Eheim Ecco Pro 2226 and two sponge filters; is that enough filtration? I also have a Fluval FX5 but I think the current is too strong for Discus. The tank is going to house my ten Discus; three 5” Red Golden Diamonds, two 4” Rose Royalty’s, two 5” Pigeon Bloods and three 4” Brilliant Turquoise. Please advise.

Thanks

Ive got a FX5 on my 120g and my discus don't have any issues at all from it.

:bandana: Since you already have it, I would definitely incorporate that FX5 into my filtration system. Adding the sponges or another 'can' would be a plus. My setup is a multi filter deal & does very well. "T"

FX5 and sponge filters will be more than enough filtration. You can direct the FX5 flow towards a side pane to break the current somewhat.
