Call me stupid...but can someone explain how this works? The pump motor does not go underwater does it? There isn't much explanation with it... sorry

Yes, submerse it and plug it in. Make sure you have your hose connected to the sink via the python sink adapter.

Thanks! I was thinking it needed to be submerged, but, water and electricity don't "always" mix! I didn't want to fry myself OR the fish! LOL

You'll be fine, make sure the dial on front of the pump is turned all the way to the + side, so you get maximum flow.

I also got a 300 watt Jager heater....well it says for aquariums up to 264 gallon!!!! I don't know if I made a mistake or they did...I have a 30 gallon soon to be a 75, is this too much heater???

i use 300 watts on 75 gal and i use 2 300 watt on a 90

i will return it and get a 150 watts and when u upgrade to the 75 gallon get another 150 watts

There isn't much explanation with it... sorryI also purchased a pump from Jehmco for water changes. They have two models, one for about $40 and one for $50. I purchased the smaller unit which was very slow in draining or filling up my tanks. But the unit comes with some plastic fitings that substitute for the casing. If you use the fitings for attaching tubing to the water inlet you will get the water to move at a high speed and with more pressure. The flow rate is acceptable.
