I know Jack Wattley doesn't belong to this forum, but I thought some of you would like to wish him a Happy Birthday. Jack turned 90 years old
on October 9th.

Happy birthday Jack. Even though you'll never see this thread :). Thank you for your contribution to the Discus community.

Happy Birthday to the man whose name is synonymous with discus keeping.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JACK! The first PB I ever saw was his Panda. In pics I thought it was so ugly... then I saw it in person and my jaw dropped even though I'm usually a wild discus/near-natural type discus lover.

Hey, is it me or do all these discus (& discus hobby) pioneers seem to live soooo long????? You think they found the fountain of youth down there in South America? Wattley, Axelrod, Schmidt-Focke, Schultz, Schwartz, etc...

One of the old time greats. While I don't really know him I have had the pleasure to eat dinner with him on a number of occasions and have always enjoyed the experience. The man is a wealth of knowledge on all topics and not just discus. Here is wishing him good health for several more years.

I was fortunate to have met him at a couple of Discus Study Group events (NYC and Baltimore). He is a very nice man and an interesting speaker. Besides discus, he has it bad for the Amazonian Poison Arrow Frogs!

Happy Birthday Jack and many more!

I saw this site, it looks so old, I almost don't trust it.
Has anyone from SD ordered recently?
