Carpet tank and vacuuming?

So never had a carpet planted tank. With a planted discus tank how do you or do you even vac out the fish poop?

If you have a carpet of plants you do not have to deep vac the gravel where the carpet is. Just make sure to not overfeed and run the vac over the carpet when you do water changes.
