"Frankenstorm" has renewed my interest in purchasing a portable generator (all the big box stores here on Long Island have sold out.) I have a few battery operated air pumps that will keep my sponge filters and air stones running if need be however, my main concern is keeping my discus alive during a cold weather power outage. Can anyone recommend a reliable generator that will keep my refrigerator, portable heaters, tv's etc. running? My guess is that a 7500 watt unit should be sufficient.
