before joining SD (pre-Discus) I got most of my AF stock from www.angelsplus.com
they have a very diverse selection -- I LOVE the Koi I got from them :)

if I still had room, I'd buy more - from an SD sponsor like Hans :D

Here is a good general web site for angelfish ... you can probably find someone from Tx here

http://www.finarama.com/forum/index.php

This is the BEST site for information, though not as popular as the other site. If you are into wilds (altums?) this is the place.

I highly recommend Angelsplus ... I got all my breeding stock from Steve Rybicki back in the 90's when we had our hatchery going.

If you were in new England I'd offer yo some of my blacks and kois ... I have adults I'd like to move to make room for my wilds.

You might want to search the for sale listings in Craigslist cities near you. Found this ad: http://austin.craigslist.org/for/3367327225.html
http://www.craigslist.org/about/sites

Also check out aquabid. Maybe some of the sellers are close to where you live to avoid expensive shipping. http://www.aquabid.com/cgi-bin/auction/auction.cgi?fwangelfish&&&&&&&pb=150

You might want to check out ebay too. http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_trksid=p5197.m570.l1313&_nkw=angelfish&_sacat=0&_from=R40

Good luck.

imho beware ebay, aquabid & craigslist......go with reputable (recommended) breeders/sellers, or members & sponsors here. health is a real concern - you are better off paying a bit more & buying healthy stock. again, jmho.

I completely agree with this, unless you know the breeders in AQUABID it will be a toss up. I'sd stick with the sponsors fro this forum or you can visit the angelfish forum and you will see who are the good breeders that sell out in AQUABID.

Wish you the best with your angel tank.
