Call me stupid...but, I bought a Jaeger heater. I ordered the wrong size it is too tall for my aquarium. It says it is fully submersible. Now, does this mean I can mount it sideways down near the bottom of the aquarium? I mean does the whole thing controls and all , go underwater? Just asking to be sure.

yup. fully submersible = completely water proof. put it anywhere you wish in your tank. 1 tip though, once it gets wet, keep it wet at all times. It seems seals will dry out on it if left out of water for an extended time. After that it will no longer be waterproof.

Yes, it's meant to be totally submerged

Thanks ...feel better now. I submerged it and have been using it for 2 days. Hahaha I guess it really is a little late now to be asking this question! I was just thinking about it and thought maybe I got lucky so far, that it hadn't fried my fish.
