ive been craving my very own wilds for quite some time now! ive seen such beautiful wilds posted here and it just made me crave them more and more. so i finally got my hands on a couple!!! i had the chance to pick out the two i felt had the most potential to get real big and pretty. my ultimate goal is to raise these babies big enough to be able to cross breed them with some of my blues.

EDDIE! you are the one that finally broke me and made my buy these fish. your royal blue f4s are gorgeous and im looking forward to get something like that

so here they are in there qt tank. they are in my room and are going to be receiving very special care.

quick question. with wilds, do they tolerate the same amount of water changes as captives. lets say daily 80%???

Yup, what kind of water you have them in? Are the wilds from Mark?

dadecountyalan

This is an interesting change from the heavily domestic looking Piwow's you have. Both are terrific!

All my 7 wild Cuipeuas eat tetra bits. It took some of them months, though, to get started.

Cuipeua are very limited in the numbers collected and authorized parties to collect from the region. I would guess first is a Curua/Alenquer region red the second fish appears to be a green variety but the yellowish light/water could be throwing me off.

im trying with very little success lol. i just finished making a seafood mix so well see if they take to that

so mark, the first is a alenquer red? and the second is a green. also, in your opinion are these fish of good quality?

Not necessarily. If they are healthy, they will eat anyting.

The wild discus I got from Mark ate everything a few hours after I put them in my display tank out of the bag.

The second one doesn't look like a green discus to me.

ok good to know. so maybe blue??

one thing ive noticed already is that these wilds are a lot more active at night then my domestics.

Alan, they look very good and I am with Yun. I can not convince myself you have a green.

The video shows the second fish clearer...I thought at first glance possibly a regular green but the video shows it more like a young blue discus. They are decent quality for this size. Take good care of them and they may turn out awesome :)

they wilds have been doing amazing. they are hungry pigs. but a few days ago i found my red dried up on the floor. im guessing something spooked him at night.

but theres still good news, my little blue which has always been quite the character is doing awesome

Alan, that does not mean wilds will never eat pellets. They just need to be properly motivated and I have not tried hard enough but I am not a pellet fan.
