Hi my name is Terry and i am new to SD and Discus all together. I have been in the aquarium hobby for 30 years and have had almost everything you can think of. Right now I have a 375 Gallon marine FOWLR tank but Discus have caught my attention and peaked my interest.

My question is. I live in Ontario Canada and my TDS is in the range of 600 PPM. I am wondering if that is to high to grow out young discus? I do have a RODI unit but would love to use tap water for a change.

Thanks in advance Terry.

For growing out that will work great! You would only need the RO unit if breeding.

I have your water-tried it full strength;not so good. Now I use 50/50 to get down to under 300ppm. The angels, discus and plants thank me everyday.
